A CELEBRATION OF WINE AND LAMB WITH YERINGBERG
In May, we hosted a special dinner in celebration of Yeringberg wines and the lamb raised alongside the vineyards of winemaker, Sandra de Pury, and her brother and farmer, David de Pury.
The de Pury family are fifth-generation custodians of the sweeping 500-hectare farm in Coldstream. At Yeringberg, they've been producing exceptional wine from their grapes, as well as farming lamb and beef since 1863.
Over four courses, Sandra and David hosted the evening with a series of conversations fuelled by the connection between the land, their wine and their husbandry. Our Sommelier, Liam O'Brien, and Head Chef, Juan Lantadilla createded a bespoke menu of Yeringberg lamb and Yarra Valley produce that was meticulously considered to complement the nuances of their wine.

WHO ARE YERINGBERG?
Yeringberg is located near Coldstream in the centre of the Yarra Valley. Their lush, undulating pastures work their way up from the valley floor to views over the region, giving the Yeringberg flock plenty of space to graze and roam through the seasons. The de Pury family manage the land as sustainably as possible with minimal inputs. Contributing to the circularity of the vineyard, the sheep graze the vineyards in winter, helping to control grasses while adding back natural fertiliser to the vines.
Their approach and dedication is exactly what we aim to champion at Cutler & Co. - a true testament to exemplary farming that puts animal and environment first.
